Why is it so hard to get insurance right now?

Why is my homeowner’s premium so high?
Legislation specific to Florida property insurance, the state’s susceptibility to hurricanes, and a rising rate of insurance fraud have all contributed to the state currently costing homeowners almost twice as much for insurance as in other states.

Am I in a flood zone?

Can I get my insurance policy same day?
Absolutely. Please let your agent know your desired effective date and they will provide your proof of insurance same day.

How do I pay my policy?
Most payment portal links are available on your latest invoice. Give us a call at 800-700-6659 and a representative will be happy to assist you with your payment
What credit cards do you accept?
American Express, Discover, Master Card and Visa.
Why do I see additional fees on my policy such as MGA fee?
626.7451 (11) – Permits an MGA/Insurer through its producing agents to collect a $25 per policy MGA fee to cover the MGA’s costs associated with underwriting and issuance of the policy. This fee is a component of the insurer’s rate filing and is fully earned at the time of collection.
Can I setup autopay on my policy?
Many of our carriers do offer automated pay options with a current bank account or debit card.
How do I know my payment went through?
Our agents will provide a receipt of all transactions via email or USPS ground mail depending on your request.
Can I add someone to my homeowner’s policy?
Yes, if they appear on the deed or loan agreement.
How do I cancel my policy?

Does my renter’s insurance cover flood?
No, in the state of Florida flood insurance is sold separately.
Wait, I don’t have flood coverage?
Unless your lender required you to obtain flood insurance, it’s likely you don’t have flood coverage. Please contact an agent at 800-700-6659 to learn more and get a quote.
Why did my rate change from my quote?
Quotes are subject to change due to insurance score, CLUE report or accident history.
What is an insurance score?
An insurance score is a three-digit number that determines the likelihood in which you’ll file a claim. This is also known as an ‘insurance credit score’ and is based on your claim’s history and your personal credit history.
Will my claim increase my premium?
It is likely you may see an increase resulting from a claim.
I need to file a claim, what do I do?

What is an RCE?
RCE is an acronym for replacement cost estimator. It is the most accurate way to determine the ‘rebuild’ cost of your home.
Why is my home value different than my coverage on my policy?
The market or appraisal value of your home is different than the rebuild cost. The rebuild cost or replacement value is based on total estimated cost of labor and materials to rebuild your home.
